Ba Zi:

Ba Zi is an ancient Chinese Metaphysics art/science. The history of Ba Zi can be traced back to before the Tang and Song dynasty periods with almost 2,000 years of traceable history. Chinese Metaphysics as a whole has been suffering an image problem. A once respectable ancient science has become the stuff of superstition due to over commercialization especially in Feng Shui. Today, in the 21st century, with the advancement of science, the popularity of Internet, more and more people begin to understand that it is not a superstition but a science. If anyone tells you that you can link religion to Chinese Metaphysics, or go to the temple and do something to chase away your back luck or evil spirits, then you know that it is not true or at least unrelated to Ba Zi.

In more recent time, scientist has been able to link Ba Zi directly with human genome/DNA. This science is called Correlativity. Scientist has estimated that human genome consists of twenty to thirty thousand genes. These genes not only control a person's heredity bodily structures and shapes (eye/hair/skin colors, ...), but also a person's disposition, intelligence, health and diseases. Gene technology enable scientists to analyze a new born baby's genes to determine the baby's potential, whether the baby is suitable to be an engineer, artist, sportsperson, salesperson, or manager, etc.... From the DNA analysis, scientist can determine whether a person will be an entrepreneur or willing to be an employee, when will the person be more vulnerable to sickness or contracts major diseases, when will the person accomplish major successes or failures in life, etc... Given time, when these techniques mature, then the existence of “Destiny” will be an unquestionable fact of science.

Meek Saint Confucius once quoted: ‘One cannot be a gentleman if one does not know the will of the Heaven’ A person should clearly understand his or her destiny in life. Confucius’ disciple Zi Xia quoted: ‘Death and life have their determined appointments; riches and honors depend upon Heaven’ Some people are rich, some are poor, but why prosper and why poor? Why good health and longevity? Why sickness and shortness of life? Don’t we deserve to know? By fifty Confucius had a sense of mission in following the will of heaven and started researching into Chinese Metaphysics but Confucius regretted not knowing the will of the Heaven until so late into life.

Sun Tze's famous quote: ‘If you know the enemy and know yourself you need not fear the results of a hundred battles’ In the 21st century society, how do we understand our strengths and weaknesses, and at the same time understand and manage others' strengths and weaknesses, likes and dislikes? Won’t you find that beneficial in many ways?

Feng Shui:

Chinese saying: First Destiny, second Luck, third Feng Shui. Feng Shui knowledge has been passed down for thousands of years till today. There were capable Feng Shui Masters in every generation and countless Feng Shui schools. The most well known and popular school of Feng Shui is the Flying Star school. Some Feng Shui masters also uses the ancient Ba Gua (eight trigrams) Luo Shu school. Today, some schools uses Ba Zi Feng Shui where a person's Ba Zi is used to maximize the benefits of Feng Shui to the person. This requires strong Ba Zi foundation and is not widely practised because of the difficulty in mastering Ba Zi.

Many people would ask: There are so many schools of Feng Shui and the different schools use different techniques, so which school or method is the best? The fact is that every school has its importance and application methods, thus there is no right or wrong or no clear cut way to determine whether one is better than the other. When applying a Feng Shui audit to an apartment or office, it is really up to the experience of the Feng Shui master and his/her knowledge of Chinese Metaphysics to determine the best method to apply.

Feng Shui is the prescription and Ba Zi is the Diagnosis. Most people do not understand the synergy between Ba Zi and Feng Shui. Feng Shui is not about wealth creation otherwise all the richest persons would be Feng Shui masters. Ba Zi determines a person's Destiny and potential while Feng Shui is used to supplement Ba Zi to hasten and maximize a person's potential. Feng Shui only helps to hasten and maximize what a person's potential in life is by up to 25%. Feng Shui can also minimize a person's negative potentials, for example if a person is destined to suffer financial losses, Feng Shui can help to minimize the losses by creating harmonious environment. By analyzing a person’s Ba Zi, it is possible to assist the person appropriately by advising the person on how to act or when to act, or through Feng Shui on how to enhance a person’s ability to fulfil the person’s potential or to avoid perils and downfalls in life. Destiny is fixed at the time of birth but how fast and by what method the person fulfil his or her destiny can be changed. The best ideal location(s) to implement Feng Shui settings for a person is obviously their house and office where the person spends the most time in.

Name Alteration:

Chinese saying: Ba Zi is inborn, Name is postnatal. Another way of saying this is that both Ba Zi and a person's name form the foundation of destiny. If a person’s inborn Ba Zi is not good and his name is also vicious in nature, the person is doomed for failure. Ba Zi is pre-destined at time of birth and thus very difficult to change; one way is to use Name Alteration and Feng Shui to remedy the imperfections.

There are many Name Alteration schools for example Xiong Qi school, Five element school, Lo Shu Nine Palace school, Ba Zi school... aGlobal uses the blind school (Mang Pai) method which is quite rare.

It is common not to exercise prudence when choosing a name for your children. Throughout ancient times, we have never heard of successful people with this type of name. In general, people with noble names have higher capabilities to succeed. While people with humble lowly names have lower capability to succeed.
